Pilates
Pilates: Beyond a Great Figure, True Inner Health
- Suitable For: Individuals with office syndrome, chronic back pain, knee osteoarthritis, frozen shoulder, post-surgery patients (in the recovery phase), seniors, and those with scoliosis.
- Benefits of Pilates:
- Enhances core strength, flexibility, balance, and joint proprioception (awareness).
- Reduces chronic pain and promotes proper breathing patterns during exercise.
- For individuals with scoliosis, it helps balance the muscles on both sides of the torso by relaxing shortened muscles and strengthening the weakened or overstretched ones.
- Precautions: Avoid poses that place excessive pressure on the joints, do not force movements if you experience pain, and always start at a beginner level.
- Contraindications: Individuals who have recently undergone surgery, or those with severe heart disease or a severe herniated disc. Additionally, a patient’s symptoms and condition should always be evaluated prior to every exercise session.
